Parental/Community Outreach Programs

ASCL has over twenty years of working with the communities it serves. ASCL will work with your school or organization to develop programs that will foster a comprehensive relationship with the student/parent, teacher/school, and community at large. ASCL will work with you to assess the needs and to locate and allocate resources to build a stronger community to serve all students.

The initial ASCL interaction will be to work with your school or organization to assess the needs of students, school, and community. Some of the programs we offer to the school and community:

Advocacy Program:

This program is set up to identify issues that affect a student performance in the classroom and in the community. Due to myriad social and economic reasons, a student may not have a parent or guardian to represent him or her as it relates to their success in the classroom. ASCL can design an advocacy program to have a responsible adult work with families to ensure that a consistent line of communication is established on behalf of the student. The student would have someone to represent him or her in the classroom or in the community when issues arise. The advocate would work with the teachers and counselors to assess the student's needs and talents. The advocate then would seek resources from within the school, community, and corporations on behalf of the student.
